The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time.
This book is about a fifteen year old boy called Christopher Boone, who has Asperger's Syndrome. In this story he loves dogs- and when his next door neighbours dog is found murdered, he decides to find out who murdered it. Through-out this story, Christopher discovers a lot about his mother, where as he never even knew she was alive before.
This book is has been described as funny and emotional. It's slightly comedic, and quite emotional.
It's not suitable for younger children, due to the language, however, if you want to find out more about asporgers syndrome, it's a great way to find out the thoughts of a person with aspogers syndrome, because your reading from a whole other perspective.
The Times described the book as "Wondrous...Brilliantly inventive, full of dazzling set pieces...unbearably sad, yet also skilfully dodging any encounters with sentimentality...
Not simply the most original novel I've read in years... it's also one of the best."
I give this book 4 out of 5, because I enjoyed the story line and I liked reading this first book of a new author, I think I will try read some more of Mark Haddons book.
"I stroked Wellington and wondered who had killed him, and why."
